Privacy Policy for Flashcards - Learning partner

Last updated: March 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Flashcards - Learning partner (the “App”) handles information when you use the mobile application.

1. Who We Are

Flashcards is a flashcard learning application that lets users create, study, organize, back up, and restore flashcards and categories, including optional images attached to cards.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us at:

2. Information We Process

The App is designed primarily to work with data stored locally on your device.

A. User-created content

B. Local app usage information

The App stores limited local usage information on your device to support app functionality, such as:

This information is stored locally on your device and is not used for analytics reporting by the App itself.

C. Advertising data (ad-supported builds only)

Some versions of the App may display ads using Google AdMob. In those builds, Google and its partners may collect certain device or advertising-related information in accordance with their own privacy practices.

The App requests non-personalized ads where supported by the ad SDK configuration, but Google may still process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure ads.

3. How We Use Information

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Most App data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage.

Examples include flashcards, categories, local app settings, app-managed copies of flashcard images, and reminder status and local usage-time counters.

When you choose images from your library or take a photo for a flashcard, the App imports a copy into the App’s own storage so it can manage that image for flashcard use.

5. Backup, Export, Import, and Sharing

The App includes user-controlled backup and restore features.

When you choose to save a backup, the App can create a backup file containing flashcards, categories, and embedded image data needed to restore card images.

Depending on platform and your actions, backups may be written to your device storage, copied to your clipboard, or shared using your device’s share options.

When you choose to restore a backup, the App reads the selected backup file and restores the included flashcards, categories, and images into the App.

Important: Backup sharing, clipboard copying, and restore actions happen only when you choose to use them.

6. Permissions

7. Image Handling and Deletion

When you add an image to a flashcard, the App may create a compressed copy inside the App’s storage for use in the flashcard.

When you remove an image from a card, replace an image, delete a card, or delete cards as part of category cleanup, the App is designed to remove its own app-managed copy when it is no longer needed.

The App is designed not to delete your original photos outside the App’s own storage.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share your flashcard content with our own servers because the App does not include a cloud account or sync backend.

However, information may be shared in these cases:

9. Data Retention

Because the App stores most data locally on your device, your data is generally retained until you delete it inside the App, uninstall the App, replace data during restore, or delete exported backup files from your own device or storage locations.

If ads are enabled in your build, third-party ad providers may retain data according to their own policies.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps within the design of the App to reduce unnecessary access to your data, including using local storage and limiting image cleanup to App-managed files.

However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If you export or share backup files, you are responsible for keeping those files secure.

11. Children’s Privacy

Flashcards is a study tool and may be used by students, but it is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.

Because the App may display third-party advertising in ad-supported builds, parents, guardians, and publishers should carefully review whether the specific distributed build is appropriate for children and whether additional age-related disclosures are required.

If you intend to publish the App as primarily directed to children, you should review Google Play Families Policy requirements and configure the app, ads, and store disclosures accordingly.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
